This was a project in my computer applications in art class. I did a portrait of chuck close. All with the path tool, solid fill, no stroke or gradients. about 200 paths in his mustache. project is completely unfinished.

The tugboat was summoning all the barges on the river, every last one, and the whole city and the sky and the countryside, and ourselves, to carry us all away, the Siene too- and that would be the end of us- Journey to the End of the Night by Celine

What program did you use to create this?

Beautiful. Did this come from the photo of the original? Curious about the process.

This is amazing, you got the shading perfectly. I'm doing portraits for gcse at the moment at school(also done this chuck close photo-realism painting), shame we weren't allowed to use computers, then you may have seen some competition from me ;), jokes, your awesome :D.

thanks. Yes it took a lot of hours. But it was finished in less then two weeks I believe. I just was working on it all the time. I was going to make it available for print but I've had people complain that is copyright infringement because it is based on a work of another artist. Despite the fact that I obviously credit Mr. Close for the design and only credit myself for the vectorization.
Thank you for your comments
